The Test German as a Foreign Language in Business (Deutsch als Fremdsprache in der Wirtschaft – WiDaf) has existed since 1996 and is a reliable measurement for German skills in the business world.
The test offered by the German-French Chamber of Industry and Commerce serves for companys, universities and educational institutes as instrument fo measuring results quickly and increases the chances on the job market.
In Germany the test WiDaF is offered by Language Testing Service GmbH, established in Berlin, which is master distributor for the worldwide operative language service provider ETS in Germany.
The test exists as paperbased test with questions about specialist vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension and listening comprehension. Depending on the test, exams in the levels A2-C2 can be carried out according to the specifications of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Normally, participiants receive their results pretty quickly within 7 to 14 days after the day of the exam.
Tricos is one of the germanwide only aprox. 250 licenced examination centers of ETS and can therefore directly in its premises offer and hold WiDaf exams in the levels A2- C2.
