telc German A2-B1: Your path to the official certificate
The telc German A2-B1 exam This exam is ideal for you if you live in Germany or are planning to move there. It assesses your language skills at two proficiency levels simultaneously. It provides you with a legally valid certificate that you can use for your visa, residency permit, naturalization, or professional recognition in Germany.
Contents of the telc A2-B1 exam
The exam consists of a written and an oral part.
An important note: This exam CANNOT be taken as a partial exam; you must complete all sections.
Written exam:
• Reading comprehension (45 min.): In 4 parts you will solve tasks based on different texts.
• Language building blocks: Reading and writing (35 min.): Grammar and vocabulary are tested in 3 parts.
• Listening and writing (35 min.): This part consists of 5 sections and combines listening with written tasks.
• Write (10 min): Here you write a short, original text based on a given input.
Oral exam:
• Speak (approx. 15 min.): This part usually takes place with two participants. You discuss a topic and plan something together.
