The telc A2 exam This exam is for anyone who wants to further solidify and expand their basic German skills. This exam is available as a paper-based exam. It CANNOT be taken as a partial exam.

Contents of the telc A2 exam

The telc A2 exam consists of four main parts:

1. Listening comprehension: approx. 20 minutesYou will listen to short dialogues and information, such as announcements or simple conversations, and answer questions about them. The aim is to test your listening comprehension of everyday information.
2. Reading + Writing 50 minutesHere you will read simple texts, such as advertisements, letters, or emails, and answer questions about them. This section tests your ability to understand written information in everyday situations. In this section, you will have to write a short text, such as a simple message, a letter, or a description. The focus is on the correct use of basic grammar and vocabulary.
3. SpeakIn the oral part of the exam, you will have a conversation with an examiner or another participant. The purpose is to introduce yourself, answer simple questions, and exchange information.
