Integration courses with literacy training

Our Integration course with literacy training is aimed at people who not yet able to read and write or have only limited literacy skills. In small steps you will learn the Latin alphabet, basic writing and reading techniques, and at the same time build your German skills for everyday life.

The course is state-funded and can be taken with appropriate approval. free of charge to be attended. The conclusion – as in the regular integration course – is the German test for immigrants (DTZ) as well as the test "Life in Germany".

We offer literacy courses at several tricoslocations: Stuttgart, Heilbronn, Esslingen and Waiblingen.

Who is the literacy course suitable for?

The course is aimed at participants who:

• have no or very limited reading and writing skills
• have learned a different script (e.g. Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese)
• Need to refresh or stabilize writing skills
• one BAMF approval or have an obligation to participate

What do you learn in the literacy course?

The course covers up to 1,200 teaching hours and combines literacy with basic German language instruction:

• Learning the Latin alphabet (uppercase and lowercase letters)
• writing and reading first words
• Everyday vocabulary and simple dialogues
• Listening, speaking and understanding in everyday situations
• Fundamentals of German Grammar
• Exercises for hand motor skills and writing technique

Participation & Funding (BAMF)
